僕のサイノウ My Talent by wowaka I've been listening for this song for years but no Japanese speakers have ever translated it to English, so I thought I'd give it a go. I've never properly studied Japanese either, though, so some parts might be iffy. OTL Here's some personal analysis on what this song is about. Feel free to draw your own conclusions about this song, of course =w= "Boku no Sainou" (My Talent) is about wowaka's struggles with song composing. Though he's been praised, he struggles with improving himself and finding meaning in what he does. Despite being called 'talented' and even a 'genious', he thinks his work has no meaning and doesn't express what he really wants to convey. Like many creators, he finds it hard to find inspiration and, stuck at the very beginning of a song (0 seconds of music), he wonders how to begin creating something which captures true emotion. He seeks inspiration while living ordinary days, plagued with boredom and normality while wishing for some great emotion to overwhelm him and let him compose a meaningful song. It doesn't come, and he's left unsatisfied and unhappy with his work. He cannot see the 'beauty' in his work that the average person who knows nothing about music sees. He wishes that he could see through their eyes and be able to appreciate his own work. Artists, however, are never satisfied with their creations.
