ENGLISH "Nisekoi Medley" Nisekoi (Akane Sasu Sora & Dima Lancaster)

"With the Click of a Heart, you've opened up my world again!" I love Nisekoi. So much. You have no idea. I have no idea where I'd be without it. Literally. The first set of lyrics I ever wrote was for Recover Decoration, Kosaki's ED from the first season, in June of 2014. If not for that, I don't think I'd be a singer right now. I met Dima Lancaster through a dub of the Nisekoi anime we both took part in. He sang the opening theme, and pointed me toward the auditions; I landed the role of Shuu Maiko. That dub went on to accumulate nearly two million views. Dima and I agreed to collab in March of 2015, I remember very clearly. His mic was broken at the time (and it would be until he bought a new one, six months later) but he didn't want his mixing skills to "get rusty" so he offered to mix my covers for me. Of course, I was baffled (and honored) and accepted. Over the course of the next few months, I released Heart Pattern, Trick Box, and the full version of Recover Decoration. That "Re-cover" placed third in JubyPhonic's SkoshBox singing competition. I was the only male finalist. I was floored. It's been so long since we agreed to duet, that the song we planned on singing... always changed. Our first choice was 'Local Connect' from Oremonogatari, then 'The Seed and the Sower' from Comet Lucifer, then 'Hello World!' from Kekkai Sensen, then 'Melancholic' by nano and neko, then 'Tonight, Tonight' by Northern19. There are definitely more, but those I remember off the top of my head. Point is, we covered a lot of ground in two years. And now we're here, with this ten-minute tribute to what brought everyone together. A song has never meant more to me. Nisekoi is a part of who I am.
